Yo, yo, dudes and duds, I use silica both in the reservoir and as a spray. My eye gets caught on what looks like the snotty skid marks of Thrips. So I searched, and I searched, and I search in my microscope. Cannot find anything moving or existing. No eggs no bacon. So I’m wondering, is this something coming out of the plant or from my spray? Under the microscope it appears to be a clear mucus. And is this bad if there is actually residue from the silica? I use it in my reservoir always. I only spray during veg and not every day. I’m never 100% confident that what I put in the reservoir becomes available. I see white flakes sometimes. Spraying it gives me some humidity that I need anyhow. And is a great way to get my Cal mag and silica covered. Yeah I put Cal mag in also. My water comes out at zero ppm, so why not. If calcium does not move around the plant, why don’t more people spray cal-mag? I always wonder that. So what up? Is the silica oozing out of my pores? Or is it accumulating when I spray? And is that bad?
