Hello all, I currently have a Zkittlez autoflower herming. In my mind I want to just pluck each pollin sack that I see to try to prevent pollination. I have been growing less than a year, with very minor gardening experiences before I started with cannabis (first experience with a herm) So with that said…should I be picking off the pollin sacks or will I hurt the outcome by doing this? Or will the flower be bad if I let it finish out?
Only thing to do with a herm is kill it. Your crop will be seeded otherwise.
So…I have the plant isolated in the dry tent for now. Will the flower be bad if I let it finish out while isolated? Or just call it a loss and throw her in the compost pile. The bud will be full of seeds. Once a calyx is pollinated, the plant puts most of the energy into producing seeds while leaving little energy to produce trichomes.

Definitely don’t just kill it. Unless you see pollen sacks all over it. Those sacks haven’t seeded anything yet. If it’s only in a few spots just pluck them and keep an eye out for more. Lots of times if it’s just a few sacks here and there you can pluck them and they won’t come back. If they keep coming back, then it might be time to cut your losses.
