    Grow Light Question

    Long story short I bought an older model light that is a good light from a good well known company that was refurbed. This is my 3rd grow with it and each grow all my buds are significantly smaller. My question is can I have good par reading on a light and have it be a poor producer. 700-900 par on it. My old light 500-700 par and much better yield. My EC, pH, nutrients and all environmental factors are spot on. That’s not it. I checked all the boxes. I am dumbfounded with this situation I’m in and def can use help.

      First off I am not an expert on lighting but I thought I would give you my thoughts. I am going to assume that you are growing the exact same genetics. That factor added in would lead a person to believe the difference is in the light. You quoted PAR numbers, that if accurate (measured) not just what the manufacturer states, would lead me to think that the light’s spectrum could be the problem. All lights differ in spectrum. It seems that the LED manufacturers have been adding different colors of LEDs to try to balance their spectrum as the lights get better. Now they say add UV to LED lights for more terps, ect, I think we used to get the UV with HPS.

        Thank you. Yes same genetics. Photone app for par readings on both lights. Uv does add terps at the price of yield. With that said, i am already suffering with the yield so i am not using my uvb currently. I just purchased a new much more powerful light(too powerful without co2 but dialing it down) if my yield increases signficantly then i know 100% it was the light

            Yes. I wouldnt have posted this question otherwise. Every aspect is the same but the light. I was trying to avoid this feedback when posting my question because i know exactly where it will go. I should have been a little more thorough

              I will know 100% for sure when u do my next grow with a new light and if that is the case i am going to be super pissed i went thru 3 grows with that light. I am about 75% sure right now.never had this problem before that light and i had about 10 grows under my belt
